Meet the Artist

Born in Poland, Ella Dabek discovered her love for art at an early age. As a child, she painted not only on paper but also across the walls of her room, filling her world with roses and color. She attended school in Poland and speaks fluent Polish. In her teenage years, she moved to the United States with her family, where new opportunities and experiences shaped her creative path.

Ella’s passion for the arts deepened in college when she was introduced to black-and-white photography. Captivated by light, shadow, and the beauty of the analog process, she immersed herself in taking and developing her own photographs. She also explored painting, drawing, and various other art courses. Despite her enthusiasm and talent, Ella ultimately set aside her artistic pursuits after graduation as she began her married life. Yet the desire to create never left her—it remained quietly alive in her heart.

Years later, she found her way back to art through hand-painting silk scarves for friends and family. After attending a workshop, she began creating vibrant, delicate silk pieces that brought her joy and renewed confidence.

Her full artistic awakening arrived in 2024 when she discovered an online painting program that sparked everything she had set aside. She enrolled in the year-long Milan Art Institute program and graduated in 2025, fully reclaiming her identity as an artist.

Today, Ella paints with passion and purpose. Working primarily in acrylic and oil on canvas, she embraces bold, expressive colors that draw attention—especially at art fairs, where she loves connecting with people who respond to her work. Her hand-painted silk scarves, created with dyes and specialty paints, are also admired for their vibrant hues and delicate beauty. Florals, birds, animals, frequently paired with abstract, atmospheric backgrounds.

She loves God and knows He has a plan for her and she wants to use her unique talent from God she was blessed with to make people happy.

1 Peter 4:10 - “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.”

She lives in South Dakota with her husband and a dog Romeo.  Family is very important to her. She has 2 lovely adult children and 2 precious little grandchildren.  She loves to travel.
